The perfect way to get into football in a fun, engaging and safe learning environment where they can fall in love with our beautiful game. Mini Blues play small sided games on Saturday mornings and have no mid-week trainings (check out our Skills Hub for extra football).

Mini Blues Coordinator
We need a parent to help coordinate Mini Blues during the season. This is to sound the hooter (plenty of siblings will happily help) for the end of sessions and ensure the rostered team are reminded about their BBQ duty.
Please email hello@tcafc.co.nz if you are able to help.

Game day

As with all our junior and youth teams, Mini Blues play on Saturday mornings during Term 2 and 3 at Ocean Downs Reserve.

Our game day formats align with New Zealand Football's First Kicks junior coaching model... but of course with all the usual fun.

Coaching
We rely on parent coaches, so if you are keen, make sure you let us know. We provide all coaches everything they need to run the Saturday morning session, including weekly skills sessions with video tutorials.

So come along and join the fun at Tauranga's best football club!

Key things for game days:
7:50 Arrive to help setup fields - the draw will advise which ground you are on.
8:00 Games commence.
A copy of our Game Day Run Sheet can be found in our Downloads on this page.

Playing Kit

Playing Shirt (we provide this)
Black Shorts
Black Socks
Shinpads (mandatory)
Firm Ground Boots (no metal sprigs)

We provide our U4-U6 teams shirts to play in. Everything else you need can be purchased on our online club store.

Our club is sponsored by Adidas Football, but players are welcome to wear other brands. Girls often opt for black bike pants.

Most sports stores will have what you need, or you can try the Tauranga Football Marketplace Facebook page.

Skills Hub

For players looking for extra sessions to develop their skills under the guidance of our qualified coaching team.
Our programmes are intended to be an extension to the Mini Blues players game-day during the Winter Season and in the off season a chance to continue developing skills.
More information on our Skills Hub can be found here.
