IMPACT OF COUNCIL PROPOSED FEES TO MEMBERS

Your voice is needed. Please read the following and take action as this will impact all members and all community sports clubs.
The 10 year Long Term Plan released by Tauranga City Council will have a major financial impact on everyone participating in community sport.

The proposal response is listed under 7 - Other consultations. You don’t need to complete the other submissions.

The proposed costs from July 2024 are a $136,450 increase in annual fees for our club, based on:

• Increased facility charges to $107,070 per annum (a 2600% increase to our current costs).
• New field charges per game (from 2025). $225+ GST per game. Approx $27,000 per annum.
• New field charges for training use. Approx $6,300 per annum.

The impact to you!

Without increased funding and sponsorship, membership fees will need to be increased to contribute towards these additional costs. This could be up to $145 in addition to what is charged currently.
