It's coming on the 20th of July! 32 teams will compete against each other to be named the best in the world, at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 202 hosted here in New Zealand.
5 matches will be hosted at Waikato Stadium and each has the opportunity to nominate 3 players maximum (12-17) as Flag Bearers and 2 players (6-10) for the Player Escorts programme. Below are the criteria that each participant must meet:
For participants aged between 12-17
- Must be 12-17 years as at 20th July 2023.
- Must be available for two of the five matches being played at Waikato Stadium.
- Available to be on site for up to 5.5 hours prior to kick-off.
- Be available even if it is a school day (absence letters can be provided to schools).
For participants aged 6-11
- Must be aged between 6-10 years as at 22nd July 2023.
- Must be available for two of the five matches being played at Waikato Stadium.
- Available to be on site for up to 5.5 hours prior to kick-off.
- Be available even if it is a school day (absence letters can be provided to schools).
Please note, being nominated does not automatically mean you will be placed in the programme. WaiBOP and FIFA have a selection process. If too many nominations are received, a waitlist will be created.
