Junior & Youth Registrations

8 Feb

Registrations are now open for the 2022 Junior & Youth season at: tcafc.co.nz/register.

Please make sure you read the following as there are some important and exciting changes for this season.

FREE Adidas Kits
As we transition to new Adidas kits, we have also taken the opportunity to change how we distribute playing kits for our Junior & Youth members.

For the 2022 season, we will provide every member (grades U7 - Baywide Youth) a free Adidas Sky Blue playing shirt and Adidas Black shorts. For our Mini Blues (ages 4-6), we will supply playing shirts for you - socks and shorts are available to purchase on our club store.

Based on feedback over the last few years, we have also taken the chance to change our sock colour to black, this aligns with the rest of the club and is way easier to clean.

What do you need to do?
When registering, you will be asked for your shirt and short size - these are FREE. You will also be asked to add a pair of socks, which will be added to your registration fee.

Going forward, we will arrange days at the start and end of the season to allow members to buy/sell/swap playing kits.

We have made this change based on the feedback we have received (players wanting their own shirts) and also to reduce the amount of time it takes to manage playing kits each season for volunteers.

Volunteers
We are still looking for volunteers during the season, so please let us know if you are able to help. This doesn’t require large hours of commitment or committee meetings.

We are still looking for Grade Coordinators, if you’re interested for your grade please let us know.

Team Formation
In 2018 we removed “trials” and in 2021 this approach was supported by New Zealand Football (NZF) Team Formation & Grading guidance. A full copy of our Team Formation and Grading policy can be found on: tcafc.co.nz/resources.

On Registration, we ask players if there are any teams or players they would like to play with this season. We try our best to accommodate these requests. Don’t worry, if you are new to our club or don’t mind - we’ll place you in a team.

If you are looking to hone your skills and have aspirations to play WaiBOP Federation Youth or NRFL Youth football, we recommend you also enrol in our SKC and TDP Programmes: tcfac.co.nz/programmes.

Grading
Your “Grade” is the age you are turning this calendar year. So if you are turning 11 this year, you will be in the U11 grade.

Keep an eye out for information on our Grade Musters. This is a great chance for new players to meet other players.

Cancellations
Cancellations will be posted on facebook/tcafc. We try to make these by 2pm during the week or early Saturday morning.

Vax Passes
As you may have seen from WaiBOP Football's post last week, NZ Football has mandated the following to be compliant with the COVID-19 Protection Framework at the Red setting:

“All football and futsal competitions, matches and trainings for participants aged 12 years and 3 months and over will require a Vaccine Pass.”

You will be asked to add vaccine passes during registration (if you meet the eligible age above).

We understand that this will impact some players. If this is you, please let us know as we'd like to pass on numbers to WaiBOP.
